I've been nurturing my Chinese Elm for a couple of years now, and finding the right fertilizer was a bit of a journey. Tried those generic plant foods at first, but they were too harsh and led to some leaf burn. Ended up switching to BioGold, which was a game-changer for me. It's a slow-release fertilizer that doesn't overwhelm the tree. What I love is that it has a balanced NPK ratio, and it's super easy to use. Just pop a few pellets on the soil surface, and you're good to go.
Last summer, I decided to see if there was something even better, so I tried a liquid seaweed mix. It smelled weird, but I noticed my elm responded with some new growth pretty quickly. I still use BioGold as the staple, but every few weeks in summer, I give the tree a little liquid seaweed boost. Seems to keep it happy and healthy, especially during the growing season. Anyone else had luck with this combo, or maybe something different?
