I've been thinking about adding a trident maple bonsai to my little collection, but I'm trying to weigh the pros and cons before taking the plunge. I've heard they develop beautiful colors, especially in the fall, which sounds amazing. Plus, they say they're pretty hardy and can handle some pruning mistakes, which is a bonus for beginners like me. On the downside, I read they can be sensitive to root rot if overwatered and that they like a lot of sun, which might be tricky in some spots of my yard.
